This Privacy Policy explains how the Salty Dog Bible app (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles your information. The app is designed as a reference and utility tool for Navy reservists and aviators and is intended for use by adults.
By using the Salty Dog Bible app (the “App”), you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1.1. Information you enter in the App
The App may allow you to enter certain information, such as:
Drill dates, flight events, and simulator events Qualification and currency dates Notes or other training-related data you choose to store This information is stored locally on your device and is used only within the App to display your data and help you track your information. We do not receive or collect this information on our own servers.
1.2. No account and no login
The App does not create user accounts and does not require you to log in to any custom backend owned by the developer.
Any data you enter into the App is used solely to:
Display your schedule, hours, and currency information Provide tools and calculators related to your aviation / reservist duties Improve your personal workflow and situational awareness We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
All user-entered data is stored locally on your device (and may also be backed up by Apple as part of your device backup, such as iCloud, if you have that enabled). We do not operate our own servers for this App and do not intentionally transmit your personal data to us. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any backups.
The App may:
Open or display external websites (for example, squadron schedules, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, or other official Navy/DoD resources). Use Apple-provided services and APIs (for example, basic system frameworks that come with iOS). When you open these external sites, their own privacy policies and terms of use apply. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external websites or services.
At this time, the App does not include third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs controlled by the developer.
The App is intended for professional and training use by adults (e.g., military service members and aviators). It is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the App, please contact us using the information below so we can address the issue.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:
